Welcome to the realm I have crafted. Allow me a moment to introduce myself: I am “ROUGH.” In this exhibition, I delve into a personal exploration, a journey by the intricate task of defining oneself. “Who am I?” This question often reflects back to your own perceptions.

 

It is a concept deeply rooted in Western culture, a relentless pursuit of an ever-shifting ideal. We classify, systematize, and impose order on disorder. It is a culture where we relentlessly sort, categorize, and create intricate systems in an attempt to bring structure to the chaos of existence. In this environment, my role goes beyond the ordinary. I embrace an awareness that stretches beyond the confines of perfection and the challenging conventional norms and expectations. My aim? To offer you an invitation, to explore your own interpretation of “ROUGHNESS”, to peel back the layers of perspective and discover something new.
